Bishop Dr. Degrando Franks Jr.
Bishop Dr. Degrando Franks Jr. serves as the Lead
Pastor of Brandon Chapel Church of God in Brandon,
Florida, where he provides spiritual leadership and
vision to a growing and vibrant congregation. He is also
the Chancellor and Founder of Brandon Chapel Bible
College, where he is committed to equipping and
developing leaders for ministry.
Bishop Franks has faithfully served in ministry for over
38 years, pastoring six churches and impacting
countless lives through his dedication to the Gospel.
His leadership experience extends beyond the local
church, having served as a Supervising/Master Pastor
in Virginia, a State Councilman in the Florida Cocoa OLice, and as the Ministerial
Internship Director for the same oLice.
Currently, he serves as Chairman of the Florida-Tampa Ministerial Examination Board
(Central), Regional Bishop of Region #14, overseeing 15 churches, and as Bishop over
24 churches in Cuba. He is also an active member of the Motions Committee for
ministerial meetings and serves on the State Council (2024–2026). Additionally, he is
the State Coordinator for CUFI (Christians United for Israel).
Bishop Franks is a graduate of Hollywood Hills High School and attended Florida A&M
University. He furthered his theological education by earning a Master of Theology and
Doctorate degree in Theology (Th.D.) from Blessed Hope Bible College & Seminary and
a Ph.D. in Religious Science from Tabernacle Bible College & Seminary.
He has been married to his wife, Cathy Franks, since April 4, 1981. Together, they have
built a strong family legacy. They are the proud parents of Jorgie S. Marshall (married
to Jarrod Marshall), Bishop Dee Franks III (married to Rachel), and Philip Franks. Their
family continues to grow with beloved grandchildren: Taylor, Maya, Kalia, Kai, Karina,
and Kelina.
Through decades of faithful service, Bishop Franks continues to influence generations
with his commitment to ministry, leadership development, and advancing the
Kingdom of God.
